Weelay
Non-Custodial Payment Notice
Explanation of the Weelay non-custodial model: the service does not hold funds, control merchant wallets or cancel blockchain transactions.
General provisions
This notice explains the non-custodial operating model of Weelay.
Weelay provides technical infrastructure for creating invoices, displaying a checkout page, checking USDT TRC20 payments, using the API and sending webhook notifications to the merchant.
Weelay does not receive, store or hold buyer funds. Funds are sent directly to the merchant wallet.
Role of Weelay
Weelay is not a bank, electronic wallet, payment institution, cryptocurrency exchange, custodial service or seller of goods or services.
Weelay performs technical functions:
- creates a payment invoice;
- displays the checkout page to the buyer;
- shows the amount, network and merchant wallet address;
- checks incoming USDT TRC20 payments;
- updates the invoice status;
- sends webhook notifications to the merchant;
- provides the merchant API for invoice operations.
Weelay does not participate in the transaction between the merchant and the buyer as a seller, product provider, service provider or order fulfillment guarantor.
Funds are sent directly to the merchant
When paying, the buyer sends USDT TRC20 directly to the wallet address specified by the merchant in the Weelay project.
Funds do not pass through a Weelay balance and are not controlled by Weelay.
Weelay cannot dispose of merchant funds, freeze them, transfer them to third parties, debit the merchant wallet or send a refund on behalf of the merchant.
Weelay does not store private keys
Weelay does not create or store private keys for merchant wallets.
The merchant is solely responsible for the wallet address, private keys, seed phrase, wallet access and security of the cryptocurrency storage.
If the merchant loses access to the wallet, enters an incorrect address or uses an unsupported network, Weelay cannot restore access to funds or return payments.
Blockchain transactions are irreversible
Blockchain transactions usually cannot be cancelled after they are sent.
Weelay cannot:
- cancel a sent transaction;
- change the recipient address;
- return funds from blockchain;
- block a transaction;
- replace an incorrect address after payment;
- guarantee a refund from the merchant.
The buyer should carefully check the network, amount and address before sending funds.
Merchant responsibility
The merchant is responsible for:
- correctness of the USDT TRC20 wallet address;
- access to the wallet;
- order fulfillment;
- quality of goods or services;
- buyer support;
- refund handling;
- dispute resolution;
- legality of the merchant activity.
If the buyer paid an invoice and the merchant did not fulfill the order, the dispute is handled between the buyer and the merchant. Weelay may review technical payment data, but does not become a party to the transaction.
Buyer responsibility
The buyer is responsible for sending the payment correctly.
Before payment, the buyer should check:
- that the TRON/TRC20 network is used;
- that USDT TRC20 is sent;
- that the amount matches the invoice;
- that the recipient address matches the checkout page;
- that the invoice has not expired.
A payment through another network, payment to another address, insufficient amount or payment after invoice expiration may require manual review with the merchant.
Payment checking
Weelay checks blockchain data to determine whether the payment was received by the merchant address.
The check may include:
- network;
- token contract;
- recipient address;
- amount;
- tx_hash;
- transaction status;
- transaction time;
- duplicate use of the same transaction.
The invoice status is updated based on available technical data.
Refunds
Weelay does not issue refunds on behalf of the merchant.
If the merchant agrees to refund the buyer, the merchant sends the refund independently from the merchant wallet.
A refund may require a separate blockchain transaction and network fee.
Disputes
In a disputed situation, Weelay may review technical data related to the invoice and transaction.
Weelay may provide information about invoice status, tx_hash, amount, recipient address and check time, where applicable.
Weelay is not a court, bank, payment arbitrator or enforcement authority.
Summary
Weelay is a technical tool for creating and checking USDT TRC20 invoices.
Weelay does not hold funds, does not control merchant wallets, does not issue refunds for merchants and cannot cancel blockchain transactions.
