Weelay
Refund Policy
Refund rules for payments through Weelay: refunds are issued by the merchant and blockchain transactions are usually irreversible.
General provisions
This policy explains how refunds are handled when a payment is made through Weelay.
Weelay provides technical infrastructure for creating invoices, displaying a checkout page, checking USDT TRC20 payments and sending notifications to the merchant.
Weelay does not hold buyer funds and does not issue refunds on behalf of the merchant. Refunds are handled between the buyer and the merchant.
Role of Weelay
Weelay is not the seller of goods or services, does not receive funds on its own balance, does not control the merchant wallet and does not dispose of funds after payment.
Weelay may technically review invoice and payment data, but cannot independently return funds to the buyer.
Who is responsible for refunds
The merchant is responsible for refunds.
The merchant independently defines refund conditions, refund timing, request handling and the method of sending funds to the buyer if a refund is approved.
The buyer should contact the merchant regarding product quality, service delivery, order cancellation, refund or compensation.
Blockchain transactions are irreversible
USDT TRC20 payment is sent through blockchain.
After a transaction is sent, it usually cannot be cancelled, changed or reversed.
Weelay cannot:
- cancel a blockchain transaction;
- return funds from blockchain;
- change the recipient address;
- debit the merchant wallet;
- send a refund on behalf of the merchant;
- guarantee that the merchant will issue a refund.
How the merchant issues a refund
If the merchant agrees to refund the buyer, the merchant sends the refund independently from the merchant wallet.
Such refund is a separate blockchain transaction.
The merchant and buyer should agree on:
- refund amount;
- refund address;
- refund network;
- who pays the network fee;
- refund timing;
- refund tx_hash confirmation.
Network fees
Blockchain transactions may require a network fee.
The fee may be charged by the network or wallet and does not depend on Weelay.
If the merchant issues a refund, the final amount received by the buyer may differ because of the fee or terms agreed with the merchant.
Expired invoices
An invoice has a limited payment time.
The buyer should not pay an expired invoice.
If the buyer sends funds after invoice expiration, Weelay may not detect such payment automatically. This situation requires manual review with the merchant.
Insufficient amount
If the buyer sends less than the required amount, the invoice may not become paid.
In this case, the buyer should contact the merchant. The merchant independently decides whether to accept the partial payment, request an additional payment or refund the funds.
Overpayment
If the buyer sends more than the required amount, Weelay may detect the invoice payment, but any refund of the overpaid amount is handled between the buyer and the merchant.
Weelay does not debit the overpaid amount from the merchant wallet and does not send it to the buyer.
Duplicate payment
If the buyer pays for the same order more than once, refund of the extra payment is handled between the buyer and the merchant.
Weelay may provide technical data about the invoice and transactions if such data is available in the system.
Payment through the wrong network
Weelay supports USDT TRC20 payments.
If the buyer sends funds through another network or to another address, Weelay may not see the payment and cannot return the funds.
The buyer should carefully check the network and address before payment.
Incorrect address
If funds are sent to the wrong address, Weelay cannot change the recipient or return the payment.
If the error is related to the address specified by the merchant, the buyer should resolve the issue with the merchant.
If the buyer sends funds to another address by mistake, the buyer is responsible for that error.
Disputes
If the buyer believes that the merchant violated the transaction terms, the buyer may submit a complaint about the merchant.
Weelay may review technical data:
- invoice id;
- order id, if provided;
- amount;
- invoice status;
- tx_hash;
- recipient address;
- check time;
- merchant project data.
Weelay is not a court, bank, payment arbitrator or enforcement authority.
When to contact parties outside Weelay
If the dispute involves fraud, illegal activity, threats, data theft or significant damage, the buyer may contact relevant authorities, legal counsel or other competent organizations.
Weelay may restrict the merchant if service rules are violated, but does not replace official proceedings.
Summary
Weelay does not issue refunds on behalf of the merchant and does not hold buyer funds.
A refund always requires the merchant decision and, if approved, a separate transfer from the merchant.
The buyer should carefully check the network, address, amount and invoice expiration time before payment.
